AKAMAI the game was conceived by W.S. Pūlama Collier, an EA Hawaiʻi scholar, as a learning/teaching deliverable.
It resonates with her love of history, language, music, traditions, inquiry and awareness of Hawaiʻi’s radiant beauty, salient history and profundity of the Hawaiian culture and cultures of Hawaiʻi.
The game components and strategies reflect an educational narrative of. Aloha Akua, Aloha Kanaka, Aloha ʻĀina. Divine grace, human compassion and devotion to earth. It means to be a recreational, friendly and value based contribution to the education of Hawaiʻiʻs culture to know Hawaiʻi and know aloha.
